Randi was born and raised in the suburbs of Detroit, while there he earned a degree in Culinary Arts, and started moving around the state once he met his love, Lucy (a sister of the Priory.) The two of them moved all over Michigan for various jobs and schooling opportunities for them, until Lucy landed her dream job as a fashion design professor. The two of them moved to Central Iowa in the fall of 2022.

Mr. Tarte currently works as a cook in Ames and has a passion for cooking, baking, and making sure that people are well fed. In his spare time at home, he enjoys cooking, baking, eating, drinking, playing video games, hiking, and spending time with Lucy and their cats.

Randi is excited to be a part of the priory and to help the LGBTQIA+ community of the greater Des Moines area! If you see him at the bars or out on the street, come on over and say hi! He's always excited to make new friends!
